High Level Teaching Ass't (must have min. six mths experience)

We are looking for a HLTA to join a very prestigious secondary school in the borough of Brent.

You will be supporting small groups, in the library or similar venue, working with them on short discussion sessions on topics as sent by the subject teachers. You will be working with Years 10 and 11, within humanities and therefore you will need to demonstrate a very strong knowledge of humanities (e.g. Degree or similar).

These sessions will form part of the revision process as well as a useful general learning tool. You will be starting the discussion by introducing the topic under discussion and then manage the session but with the students leading.

You will be asked to report back on participation of all students, any areas of weakness in the topic you observe and on any behavioural issues.

You will be working with groups of up to 10 students at a time and with therefore need to demonstrate some experience of cover supervision or teaching work or hold a HLTA certificate or similar.

Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
- You must have good spoken English;
- You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
- Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
- You need to supply two recent references of which one must be from a school setting;
- This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
