Learning Mentor

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor for a school in North West London.

The school is an exciting and vibrant school in the heart of the Hoxton community with dedicated and friendly staff. We can offer excellent support and opportunities for further professional development.

The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues and have good organisational skills; act as a listener, facilitator for learning, motivator and role model for the children.

The learning mentor will also organise and run extracurricular activities and help with transition activities for pupils moving within the key stages and to secondary school.

The learning mentor appointed will support identified pupils with barriers to learning, which will include curriculum and behaviour support. Support will be a combination of one to one mentoring, group work, liaising with families as well as administration and multi agency work.

Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
- You must have good spoken English;
- You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
- Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
- You need to supply two recent references of which one must be from a school setting;
- This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
