Team Manager Adults and Older People

We have a fantastic opportunity for a GSCC registered Team Manager (Adults and Older People) in the South West London area.

Responsibilities:
1. To maintain and develop an efficient and effective social work service for adults, older people and their carers, which is consistent with policies, procedures and good practice.
2. To ensure the implementation of FACS.
3. To plan and manage an effective duty system, in conjunction with the Senior Care Manager.
4. To forge and strengthen links with health professionals, contribute to the change agenda and integration of multi-disciplinary working.
5. To determine the priorities of the social work team, ensure that work is allocated in accordance with assessed need and Departmental policy, and that allocation of work to individual members of staff is commensurate with their skills, expertise and ability.
6. To be responsible for effective planning and review of adults in residential and nursing care, in accordance with legislation and Departmental Policy, and to ensure that decisions taken at Reviews are carried out.
7. To ensure that unmet need is monitored and recorded, and that significant shortfalls in resources re notified to senior managers.
8. To represent the Council as required in Legal Proceedings (Civil and Criminal), and to be responsible for the attendance and conduct of social work staff in Court.
9. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level with the general level of responsibility of the post.

Pay rate is between £27 and £33 per hour

GSCC Registration is essential.
