Teaching Assistant

A mainstream West London primary school in Ealing requires a Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 1 child with mild Autism on a 1-to-1 basis within the classroom.

The school is looking for someone who will be able to assist the class teacher preparing suitable teaching materials and employ positive strategies to enable the child to complete tasks successfully. Knowledge and experience of working according to IEP's and using teaching materials during lessons would be beneficial but not essential.

This school has excellent facilities and the staff place a great emphasis on the importance of teamwork. Within close proximity to transport links, the school are very focused on high expectations of behaviour and learning so that pupils achieve to their full potential.

Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
- You must have good spoken English;
- You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
- Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
- You need to supply two recent references of which one must be from a school setting;
- This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
