SEN Maths Teacher
Long term contract – March 2010

A PRU based in Lewisham requires a Maths teacher from March 2010 to teach pupils who do not have a school place or whose mainstream placement has broken down for a variety of reasons other than permanent exclusion.

Pupils with statements of SEN or excluded pupils. Pupils in Years 7 –11 are offered an assessment at the PRU which focuses on identifying areas of strength and weakness and offering support to address the difficulties pupils have experienced in maintaining a mainstream placement.

Some pupils are then placed in mainstream school by the Admissions team and others via the Hard to Place Panel. Pupils are then supported through the application and admission phases of reintegration to mainstream school. Some support is offered to pupils on an on-going basis following reintegration.

• To be successful you must hold a Teaching Qualification
• You must have a current police clearance.
• You should display a proven track record of pupil learning outcomes.
