The Job
You work on a one to one basis with an adult, usually aged 20-50 approx, with a spinal cord injury, providing assistance with everyday activities such as dressing, driving to work, cooking and shopping. The role is both rewarding and interesting, with a work pattern of 2 weeks on and 1 week off.
Origin has clients throughout the country, some individuals work from home in quite demanding jobs, others travel to work in the nearest town or city and need someone to drive them there. Many clients have the most amazing hobbies, or are sports men and women excelling at skiing and basketball, whilst others enjoy the gentler pleasures of good food and wine, music or drama. But as a PA you will see for yourself how the independence and quality of life of people with spinal injuries can be dramatically enhanced with the support of an Origin Personal Care assistant.

Working part time in the city centre, our client values her independent lifestyle. With an active social life and her family nearby our client needs you to be a good driver, confident with city traffic. As her Personal Care Assistant you will be expected to prepare her for work, drive her there and on social trips and keep her home clean and tidy. In a wheelchair since a road traffic accident our client enjoys life to the full and is looking for a Personal Assistant with good social skills, conversation and a sense of humour.
