Description

Our client, an international organisation in the retail industry, is currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Synergies Analyst to join their team in Southampton. Reporting to the International Purchasing Synergies Manager, you will be pro-active and show initiative to achieve results and meet deadlines.

Key Accountabilities

- Use the internal database to run reports of products from suppliers common
- Review reports to check that they are accurate and logical. Where necessary, cross-check between different reports to confirm data accuracy
- Compile data to be used for manual matching of common products without common codes
- Review data and conduct research, to identify the maximum number of common products
- Summarise findings, using MS Excel and calculate the value of net price differences found
- Interpret the findings and present information as MS PowerPoint presentation
- Support the preparation of resulting negotiations with suppliers

Essential Criteria

- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Any previous exposure to Microsoft Access would be an advantage
- Strong Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to confidently assess and challenge reports and data in the context of commercial requirements
- Fluent in more than one European language plus, Polish, Russian or Turkish
