Business Analyst - Wholesale Revenue Management - Up to £350 a day - Edinburgh/Dundee split

My client is looking to engage an experienced Business Process Analyst to work in their existing SAA Follow On Project team. You must be an enthusiastic, proactive and delivery focussed individual with experience working in similar positions.

The team is split across my client offices in Edinburgh and Dundee and the successful candidate will be required to work out of both locations, and may also be required to occasionally travel to other locations.

The Role:

As Business analyst your duties will include, amongst others, analysis and reporting of data, reconciling data corrections made to the market, spreadsheet manipulation, estimating and forecasting, production of guidelines, training, coaching, stakeholder management, as well as the development and implementation of robust business as usual processes once the project has completed.

Key Accountabilities/Tasks:

  1. Analysis of existing processes to identify, develop, implement and embed continuous improvements and efficiencies.
  2. Creating and embedding new and to be processes
  3. Documenting processes, training and guidance, managing testing and rollout.
  4. Implementing controls and metrics to achieve high levels of data quality and integrity including "self-audit"; use of appropriate tools to measure and report on data quality.
  5. Build, maintain and continuously develop and improve relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) facilitating a balanced view between the needs of the project and the capabilities of the team in delivering a quality output; this includes influencing design of technical solutions, processes and decisions made.
  6. Take appropriate decisions and escalate where required to ensure progress and quality are maintained.
  7. Work closely with the project manager and team leads to ensure progress and attainment of the project plan.
  8. Produce general BA products such as; Requirements, MoSCoW, RTM, Flow charts, HL design and other documents as may be required.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working in a customer focused team with a passion and track record for delivering and managing customer needs and expectations
  • Experience of delivering data projects to a consistently high level of quality and integrity
  • Ability to make decisions based on analysis of information within a very fast paced environment
  • Experience communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly understand complex data, systems and processes
  • Ability to quickly become an effective key member of the team
